Sandpiper Golf & Country Club is a vibrant 55+ active adult community in Lakeland, Florida, offering an appealing blend of country club lifestyle and affordability. Built between 1985 and 1998, the community features 1,153 homes available on a resale-only basis, including both single-family and attached villas.
The centerpiece is an 18-hole, par 71 links-style golf course with rolling terrain and multiple tee options ranging from 6,000 yards down to just over 4,000 yards Linksofsandpiper, designed to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. The course was originally designed by Steve Smyers and provides scenic views throughout.
With an HOA fee of only $150 per month, Sandpiper offers great country club-style living.
The community offers extensive amenities centered around an elegant clubhouse that includes a ballroom with stage, multi-purpose room, catering kitchen, billiards room, card room, library, table tennis, and a fitness center with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment 55places. There’s also a secondary recreation center that provides additional gathering space.
Outdoor recreation options are plentiful with an outdoor pool and spa, sundeck, two tennis courts, eight shuffleboard courts, and three horseshoe pits 55places. The secondary center features two additional tennis courts and another pool. The community also offers biking paths and pickleball courts for active residents.
Social life thrives at Sandpiper with a full-time activities director who organizes events for numerous clubs including billiards, bingo, bowling league, bridge, dance, crafts, and more. The clubhouse hosts themed dinners, social events, and community gatherings that bring neighbors together.
Located in north Lakeland between Tampa and Orlando, the community provides easy access to shopping, dining, medical facilities, and entertainment while maintaining a peaceful, small-town atmosphere. The area is known for its numerous freshwater lakes and proximity to spring training baseball facilities. MEET THE BOARD
The Sandpiper Golf and Country Club Property Owners Association (POA) is made up of the property owners of Sandpiper. Membership in the association, by a residential buyer, is a condition of purchase. The Board of Directors (BOD) is responsible for the management of the POA. The board is made up of nine volunteer directors. Three new directors are elected each year and replace those elected three years prior. The Officers of the Board are voted in by the members of the Board. Specific assignments are also at the discretion of the POA Board.
